Dear “Outdoor Lovers”
i noticed that paragon sports doesn’t have anything on boogieboards or surfing equiment. i’m concern because i just bought my first “orginal boogieboard”(plasma), and i tested out today and noticed that I developed a terrible and ugly rash on my upper & lower abs and part of my thigh, basically the places where the board touched my body. i don’t know if this is normal or if im allergic to foam or if my board isn’t a good quality?? Any surf enthusiast out there could explain my matter, should i buy a better board?? or is my rash normal, for a first timer, should i stop bodyboarding? if i should buy another board, any suggestions where to look and what to look for???

Daisy,
Look at some of our other affiliates for surf equipment, such as Becker… And, you are not going to die from board rash. It is normal to get a little rash when you are new to surfing/bodyboarding. To help with the rash you can use vaseline or another rash reduction lube that is sold at surf shops. The best way to deal with it is to get a rash guard, it is a shirt that covers the belly during these activities.
Thanks for the comment,
