Maybe one day…
I’m still dreaming about what it would take to actually do something like this. This is a 50 mile Ultra Marathon called the Twin Peaks Ultra. It’s in the local mountains of Orange County along trails that I have mountain biked for years.
This race is February 2, 2008. I don’t think I could be ready in time. We’ll see.

I checked out the marathon’s website and it’s sold out. I’m up for that challenge as well. Maybe in two years, I’ll be there too!!
it is a cool trail. i have taken the FJ up to the top of santiago peak, it is pretty sweet, i am assuming it follows the fire trail for the most part.

The trail is really pretty with a ton of climbing. It probably follows the exact route that you know.
