What’s your dream tri/road bike?
I’m kind of but not really in the market for a new road bike but I’m clueless on where to start my search. I want a fast, responsive but comfortable bike that I can use for years. 50% of the year it will be set up in tri geometry with clip on tri bars and the rest of the time it will be set-up for road. I’m averaging 100 or so road miles a week.
Please comment with your recommendations.

I agree with Brandon. The Cervelo is a nice bike but other favorites are:
Felt, B2 Pro

Cervelo. I think it’s the best in terms of being a dual purpose bike [meaning: road and tri capable].
If you don’t have $4500 for the SLC-SL frameset than you could go $2000 for the Soloist complete bike.

I don’t have a recommendation on a specific bike for your purposes, but I’ve totally bought into Specialized and believe that everything they make is solid gold. I have a Specialized Sirrus that I use to commute to work. No-nonsense, great bike for my purposes. I know they have some tri bikes and I’m guessing their reputation is good with those.
